I'm currently on chapter 1216. I recently discovered that this is supposed to be a trilogy (I almost cried of joy lol) and that there is a second book that is currently ongoing. My questions are:what's the exact relationship between the first and second book?Is it the same world (with the same characters and locations), is it in a distant future, or is it an alternative universe with some resemblance or references?how many chapters will the second book have? (currently at 930 aprox)where can or should I read it? in this site there's only this one, unless I'm searching wrong bc I don't know it's name.and how can I help the author? Ok I'm still not shipping Klein with Fors but I spent the past day thinking about it and the more I think the more sense it makes!Listen to this:Fors and Fool were on a date every full moon.Fors had erotic dreams about Gehrman Sparrow while Gehrman kept teasing her for fun.She was worried about Dwain Dantes's health and even put herself in danger of being discovered as a byonder to warn him.She is most likely using an alter account to write stories about Merlin Hermes. So, once again, someone who doesn't like LoTM has shown up in the comment section. This seems to happen every month or so. But now I want to ask:For those who don't like LoTM and see flaws in it, could you share what those flaws are? Please be objective, if you say Volume 1 is boring, that’s just a matter of personal preference. I'm looking for specific, objective critiques, like poorly written character, one-dimensional characters, the plot that doesn't make sense, too much retcon or similar issues. I can think of one flaw in LoTM myself(Xio's character isn't explored enough), but I'm curious if anyone has noticed something I haven't.

Honestly, a lot of things that can be nitpicked about LOTM is due to the series being a trilogy. Such as a lack of characterization for a lot of narratively important characters such as the deities and OD's, or insufficient exposition of the power system, more specifically regarding the nuance and specific abilities pertaining to certain pathways.Anyway, i'd need to reread LOTM for me to pinpoint any specific writing inadequacies. I've legitimately forgot a lot of things from book 1. 😢

Yeah, I agree. Plus, about the power system, even CF himself said that he doesn’t really want to delve into high-sequence powers. He believes that doing so would take the horror and mystery elements away from high seq beyonder, and it’s hard to write (I think the latter is the real reason 😂).But for Xio, she’s one of the earlier characters, and her appearance was introduced early on. The war arc was a great opportunity to explore her character further, especially given her background as a fallen noble, it’s the perfect setup for deeper character exploration 😢.
