District 66 Spring Conference a Smashing Success
Here's what people are saying
The Conference was great! I think it was so well organized and everyone seemed to like it and be learning lots of good stuff.
---- Camellia Wroniewicz
District 66 Conference was indeed a great success. The education and breakout sessions were highly informative and energetic. I greatly enjoyed the weekend as did my wife and she is not even a toastmaster. I look forward to many more conferences and hope to continue seeing everybody there. The group that put together the conference did a supreme job which just added to the pleasure of attending, and the setting - WOW!! Thank you to everybody involved.
-------- Joe Scott
Pete and District 66, Thank for the opportunity to speak at your spring conference. The hospitality was amazing. I would speak at any future District 66 conference in a heartbeat. I would also encourage any of my fellow World Champions to do the same. It was awesome!
------- Ed Tate
and from incoming District Governor, Pete Moyer
Wow! What a District 66 Conference Toastmasters,It started out Friday night with NPRs monthly appearing expert of Social Media, Ed Sykes and ended with the most amazing Table Topics Competition I have ever seen in District 66. Congratulations to Michael Claude Jr. (1st Place), Marlon Haskell (2nd Place), Steve Fulton (3rd Place). Saturday morning was like the Olympics where we paraded in banners from our oldest clubs to our most Distinguished Clubs and guess what, we were on time so that the Educational Sessions kicked off with a bang. Viki Kinsman gave a powerful keynote over lunch followed by our District Council Meeting which was completed in record time. Saturday evening was full of festivities:
International Speech Contest - 1st Place Patrick Peason, 2nd Place Craig Stevens, 3rd Place Jeff Seibert Distinguished Toastmaster Awards - Michelle Lewis and Linda Charlton District Officer Installation performed by our International Director for Region 7, Viki Kinsman We ended the evening with our own Chie Tamaki, Conference Chair leading us in a chant, "When I say DISTRICT 66, you say SUCCESS!" This led us all to a standing ovation Saturday evening. I think Chie has a job as our next District 66 cheer leader and motivational speaker.
Chie Tamaki - Madame Chair you made our weekend with your hard work and constant smiling face. Success to all you do. Linda Charlton and Mary White for offering wisdom and experience to our Conference. You both are amazing and I am glad to know you. Rhiannon Liker - what an effort of being Division Governor this year and taking on the big job of Program Chair for the Conference. Congratulations Madame Treasurer.
Regie Ford - I am impressed. You put together the best group of Sergeant at Arms I have ever seen at any Conference. Nice job and congratulations Division B Governor.
Curel Sundar - Great job running our contests ethically, efficiently and effortlessly. I heard many compliments on your behalf.
Ian Henry - Registration was very smooth and managed well from our District Treasurer. Nice job Ian. You are my Viking!

Ed Sykes - My sponsor, my friend and mentor. Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks on Social Media and Boosting our Membership.
Ed Tate - our guest speaker all the way from Las Vegas (2000 World Champion of Public Speaking) gave us inspiration and phenomenal training techniques that will last a life time. Go Eddy! Go Eddy!
Mary White, Terri Smith and Doug Stamper - I heard so many compliments on your program but more importantly I heard a great deal of interest in Toastmasters wanting to do a Speech Craft. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us.

J Andree Brooks - Thank you for being our Parliamentarian. You are very good at keeping us in order, especially Al Tuten. We appreciate your guidance.
Joe Scott - Joe "Warren Miller" Scott. Yes it is an inside joke. I knew Joe was a great speaker but he was awesome as a Contest Master. Your Table Topic question led us to one of the most memorable Table Topics Contests ever. Thank you for the great show.
Michael Behm - You have a way of popping up everywhere. Every time I turned around you were helping with a role. Many thanks also for printing our Conference View Booklet especially after the day you had on Friday. Best of luck with your car.
